Covid-19 Update

You’re there for your family.  I’m here for you.

These are certainly some crazy times.  Who would have expected things to change so quickly?

I hope as you read this, that you and your loved ones- family and friends- are all safe and healthy.  This is most important.

Most economists are predicting some sort of recession in the future, but no one knows exactly what it will look like.  What we do know is that real estate has always come roaring back in every recent recession.  You need to have a reliable, trustworthy, honest real estate professional that will advise you on what your options are.

Some of my buyer and seller clients are choosing to wait it out and I’m supporting them in that decision.   But some of my clients are choosing to or need to buy or sell their home or real estate.  I’m helping them navigate through this with safety as the #1 priority, while implementing some cutting edge techniques which get them what they need… while also giving them the advantage.  It’s a new but hopefully temporary world in real estate right now.  It involves creative marketing, creative and strategically written offers, video, virtual showings, and many other things.

The market.  The market is fluid due to the number of dynamic variables that affect real estate.  But it’s overall very active and that might surprise people.  In the first week of this stay-home mandate… we sold 10% of our areas entire inventory.  That’s a lot of homes… and that’s a lot of homes that sold!  So for the time being, buyers are very active.  Most agents are not busy because they are still trying to adjust to this new temporary normal.  The agents that were prepared, have innovated, and are client-focused are plenty busy.  We are doing a lot of creative things to keep our clients safe, but provide them with what they need.   I have sold homes for my buyer and seller clients during this time.

Unique opportunities… for both buyers and sellers.  Normally this time of year, we start seeing a lot more homes hit the market.  But because of the effects of Coronavirus, we haven’t seen that uptick in homes for sale.   But simultaneously, buyer activity has also slowed down.  This presents some great opportunities for both buyers an sellers.  Buyers can take advantage of having fewer people competing with them for houses.  Sellers can take advantage of fewer properties competing for potential buyers attention.  In addition, uninformed or anxious sellers make fear-based decisions when entertaining offers.   There are natural logistical challenges with the stay-home mandate and other related actions that have limited buyer activity and stopped a lot of buyers from knowing what to do.   If you are my client, you will be informed on what your options are and protected all the way through the process.

How my unique background benefits you.  I was a real estate investor (flipping houses) for many years…  through some challenging times- 9/11 and the 2008 crash among them.  My whole business and livelihood relied on my assessment of where the market was at… and project where it was going.   I experienced every market offers opportunity.  So I can’t help but see the potential and opportunities out there during a time like this.  And I take that perspective and experience and use that to help my clients. Some need or want to buy or sell a home during this time and I’m thankful that I have that experience to rely on to help give my buyer or seller client the advantage- whether selling or buying.  

I grew up in real estate and have been full time at it for over 20 years.  It’s a passion of mine… because I have the opportunity to help and serve others in a unique way.
