FAQ

  • Do you have a fuel surcharge tied to your contract?  Yes
  • Do you use a customer-supplied trailer?  Yes
  • How are hours tracked throughout the day/week?   It is an honor system, but hours are tracked daily they can be monitored. This tracking takes place weekly. Also, if the truck runs for any time it is counted as a full day rate. Overtime is charged only after the 45 hrs have been reached.
  • How is the fuel surcharge calculated after $3.00/gl? Certain formula that is used?  If so, what is it specifically? Fuel surcharge has been charged based on Michigan’s current diesel price.  So, as a recent example, with .019 over $3 would be 1000 mi / 4mpg x .019= price….
  • What are the 9 holidays that are recognized where they do not run this route?   Memorial Day, July 4, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Labor Day,  Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, and New Years.  They also typically shut down for 3 days for inventory or more depending on year, they pay for all days down during inventory.
  • What happens in the event of sickness or vacation?  The contract states that in case of an emergency or planned leave of absence, they will have it covered.
